The 5th Quartz Products & Silicone Materials Technology and Market Seminar held in Shanghai Liang'an Hotel on Nov.7-8. The seminar was organized jointly by Quartz Glass Special Committee of China Building Glass and Industrial Glass Association and China Electronic Materials Industry Association. More than 120 representatives from quartz materials, products and equipments manufactories and institutes participate it.

Zhang Baiheng, secretary-general of China Building Glass and Industrial Glass Association, Yuan Tong, secretary-general of China Electronics Materials Industry Association, Jiang Shoulei, secretary-general of Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industry Association and other related leaders participated the seminar.

The seminar was published 12 reports, it could be saw from the contents that quartz materials and products had became important basic materials and auxiliary products in electronic information and photoelectricity industry. Just like Zhang Baiheng, secretary-general of China Building Glass and Industrial Glass Association, said at the opening ceremony that quartz materials and products industry is small, but because of semiconductor, electronic information and photoelectricity industry's rapid development, quartz materials and products industry is continously developing. It is obvious that quartz materials and products have played important roles in electronic information and photoelectricity industry.

It invited Yuan Tong, secretary-general of China Electronics Materials Industry Association and Jiang Shoulei, secretary-general of Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industry Association to make speeches at the seminar. They analysised the development situation and trends of China's electronic materials and integrated circuit industry.

In the aspect of quartz materials and products' market development and performance demand, Zhu Datong, senior engineer of CCL Industry Association, Pro. Sun Xiangzheng, Pro. Zhu Dingfa made speeches at the seminar.

Other professors from domestic and abroad also made speeches at the seminar.

During the seminar, the sponsors also opened a small expo. Heilongjiang Fangzheng County Donglong Silicone Development Co., Ltd., Suzhou Innovation Ceramic Co., Ltd., Shanghai Huaqiang Quartz Co., Ltd and so on participated the products exhibition.
