Sabic Innovative Plastics is investing in the expansion of its production of single and multi-wall Lexan polycarbonate sheet for construction and industrial applications throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. As part of its strategy for continuous growth of its engineering plastics business, the company is building additional production lines at the three sites of Vienna/Austria, Milan/Italy and Bergen op Zoom/Netherlands in order to satisfy increasing demand for polycarbonate structural glazing, roofs, signs and other applications in eastern Europe, Russia and elsewhere. The new production lines are planned for completion in the third quarter of 2008.
